The launch of the Amazing Parent Gems network and celebratory evening was a very successful and memorable event. Parents and students had the wonderful opportunity to attend the event at the Mayfair- Washington Hotel.
The event officially launched the exciting BETA version of the:
- Amazing Parent Gems website
- Amazing Parent Gems Parent Power Circle membership and networks
- 1st Annual Amazing Parent Gems Awards
The evening was organised so that all could experience the dynamic features of the Amazing Parent Gems membership, events and networks.
The parents and the young people who attended the event were immediately given the opportunity to meet and speak with professionals, other like- minded parents and high achieving students.
Amazing Parent Gems founder, Donia Narh, reminded parents that they were paramount to their children’s success. She shared her vision for Amazing Parent Gems and its core aim of empowering parents to equip their children, so that they are prepared to access quality education, employment and enterprise opportunities. She also emphasised Amazing Parent Gems strong focus on empowered living and the well being of the parent and the child.
She shared some stark figures with the attendees but clearly emphasised that all in the room could succeed if they maximised their time, plan ahead and understood the benefits of being a part of a thriving and supportive community.
The attendees then heard from a range of professionals about their jobs and route from education to employment.
Every guest was given the opportunity to speak directly to the professionals about their dreams, aspiration and concerns.
The event was very interactive and by the end of the evening a strong sense of community and pride had developed when the children and parents enthusiastically celebrated the achievements of their peers.
Children and parents received awards from APG award presenters and special guest Lt. Commander Jeff Cormack.
Lt. Commander Cormack spoke about the sea cadets and the importance of doing extra curricular activities and the difference that activities can have on personal development, employment and life.
Overall, the event was impactful, memorable, interactive and left attendees inspired and empowered for the rest of the year.
